25 December - all is calm, all is bright

To all my friends in England and the US: I stayed up late last night and definitely spotted a high-altitude sleigh heading due west shortly after midnight :-)

Right now, this is my view:

We just dropped off our Christmas guests at home + at the station. I am Home Alone (nothing better); the room is warm and cozy, and lit only by candles and the Christmas tree, - - and I have wine.  All is well with the world.
