Newspaper clipping: Last week, 90 German cows farted so much that the methane gas exploded. Part of the stables burned down; fortunately only one cow seems to have been inflicted with fire burns.
(I get my milk from a local dairy farmer. But her cows live in a very open, well-aired barn, so I'm thinking the risk of an explosion is minimal. Although, of course, one never knows. I'm not very familiar with the properties of methane gas. So in theory, the milk run could be my version of living on the edge ...)
...and a Brazilian woman had to have 272 spikes removed from her head after a porcupine fell from a lamp post and landed on her.
Can all this really be true? What a very amazing world, eh :-)
